NICHE INDUSTRIAL CHEMICALS CLOSES PURCHASE OF UK-BASED FUSED MAGNESIA BUSINESS
Gramercy, Louisiana – March 1, 2019 – NICHE Chemical LLC, the specialty products and chemicals
division of New Day Aluminum Holdings LLC, announces that it has acquired Imerys Fused Minerals Hull
Ltd. from Imerys UK Limited, a subsidiary of Imerys SA.
The acquired business, which will be renamed NICHE Fused Magnesia Limited, is located in Hull, England
and operates facilities producing a number of specialty magnesia products used in the electrical, friction,
ceramic, automotive and refractory industries. The acquisition is the company’s first move into the
United Kingdom, complementing its existing fused alumina business in LaBathie, France.
